Ukraine is a democratic country. Most of its citizens, even up to the night before, never actually believed that their country would be bombed and invaded by Russia. So far the response from the UK and US governments seems to have done little to deter the Russian invasion or to help the people who are now either scared for their lives and trying to leave, or staying in Ukraine and preparing to fight.
If you want to help Ukraine and to show they are not alone then these are two ways in which you can help.
